DIY ABSTRACT ART

I’ve seen this deco print from french textile designer Paul Marrot bobbing around the internet and have always thought it was great. They sell it on Dwell among other stores.

There is so much great abstract art out there that you could get inspired by. In this example I took Paul Marrot’s textile design and painted it onto a large canvas. I used silver leaf paint to add the shimmer and chalk board black paint. I chose to use chalk board paint because it is thick so you only need a coat to get coverage.
